Colin is the President and CEO of The McLane Group. He is responsible for general oversight of the firm; including all financial, legal and administrative matters; driving business development, managing client relationships and the firms’ strategic direction.
In addition to his responsibilities at McLane, Colin serves as the Senior Advisor to NYC Police Commissioner, James P. O’Neill. Mr. McLane brings unique global perspectives, strong regional knowledge and access to a wealth of relationships that enhance the NYPD’s ability to serve the people of the great city of NY. While not an employee of the NYPD, Mr. McLane has a strong and strategic professional connection with the NYPD. As the Commissioners’ Senior Advisor, Colin consults on strategy, organization, and business-related matters. Mr. McLane also works with members of the Commissioners’ executive team to develop the partnership with major NYC tenants and communicate the message of “shared responsibility” strengthening relationships between the NYPD and the communities they serve.
Colin is recognized as an expert on leadership, strategy and operations. Mr. McLane is known for recognizing potential risks ahead of time, being prepared to respond, and acting quickly to rebuild confidence after a crisis, ultimately, protecting our clients long-term strength and viability.
Mr. McLane is a member of the Domestic Security Alliance Council and National Law Enforcement Associates. He holds a Secret Security clearance with the FBI.
Mr. McLane earned his MBA from Columbia University and his BA from Boston College where he is in the Varsity Hall of Fame. Colin served on the Host Committee for the 2014 NY/NJ Super Bowl and currently sits on the board of The Tewaaraton Foundation and the East Coast Advisory Board of the One Love Foundation. Mr. McLane is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
