Barron Chambliss is a retired police detective from New Jersey. He was a member of the joint Union County/Essex County auto theft task force as well as the joint narcotics unit. He was selected to be a member of the elite Emergency Services Unit (ESU) and also served as President of his department’s Police Benevolent Association. Barron was the recipient of numerous commendations including Outstanding Police Performance, Medal of Merit, Lifesaving Medal and the Firearms Award. He holds certifications from Top Gun Narcotic School, Advanced Criminal Investigation, Digital Evidence Collection, Advanced Interview and Interrogation, Annual Advanced Sexual Assault Training Seminars, Advanced Report Writing, Advanced Gang Training, Advanced Crime Scene Processing, Extensive Tactical Training/SWAT, Breathalyzer Certification, Latent Fingerprint Training.
Barron has a successful track record of planning, executing, and directing a broad range of investigative procedures that resulted in multiple arrests, confessions and successful prosecutions. He was assigned the most critical cases involving missing persons, internal theft, sexual assaults, narcotics, fraud, armed robberies and burglaries. Additional duties included gang liaison, surveillance, interview/interrogation and crime scene processing. He is trained to work with diverse personalities, cultures and populations. He is a highly qualified, dedicated individual with demonstrated skills in security, leadership and law enforcement. He has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop rapport, establish relationships and disseminate information to individuals at all levels.
Barron is a graduate of Seton Hall University with degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology. He is a two-time, NCAA Division I All-America in Track & Field and member of the Penn Relay Hall of Fame.
